Katherine is one of the Deadly Wears team, she is a proud Gunaikurnai and Monero Ngarigo woman, who works On Country. Katherine continuously advocates for the protection of Heritage and the continuation of looking after Country by Traditional Owners and First Nations people. Katherine works with Traditional Owners all across Victoria to support their aspirations. Katherine has also had the privilege of working with the Martu people in the Pilbara through their On Country Programs.
Katherine wants Deadly Wears to embody Caring for Country through all it's efforts where possible. She hope you see this through our online store and the goods that arrive at your door.
Jakob is one of the Deadly Wears team, he is married to Katherine and wants to provide a strong future for his Aboriginal kids. Jakob has worked with the Martu people in the Far East Pilbara Region. Jakob worked out On Country with the Martu and has a deep respect for Traditional Owners and their Lore. Jakob currently lives on Gunaikurnai Country.
Jakob brings the practical elements of Deadly Wears together. He is our logistics guru that makes our online store work.
Hollie is one of the original founders for Deadly Wears.
Hollie has now parted ways with Deadly Wears, onto bigger adventures. She will always have a soft spot for Deadly Wears and you may see her at events or markets helping out.
Hollie is a proud Gunaikurnai and Monero Ngarigo woman working on her grandparents' Country. She has worked in the education sector within her community in the Latrobe Valley area of Gippsland for the past 10 years. She works to incorporate the true history of this land, the immensity of the rich culture of First Nations people and the language of our mob in her teachings. Hollie is a Photography Graduate of RMIT.
